Ryan Ruth is the founder and managing attorney of Ruth Law Office, PLLC, bringing more than twenty years of legal experience and a strong commitment to client advocacy. A native of New Martinsville, West Virginia, Ryan earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Information Science and Business Administration, with minors in Political Science and Accounting, from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He received his Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law in 2004.
Ryan is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. His legal background is broad and strategic, including representing victims of personal injury, serving as in-house counsel for State Farm defending insured clients, and working as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Jackson County. This diverse experience gives Ryan valuable insight into both sides of litigation, allowing him to anticipate defense strategies and advocate effectively for those who have been wronged.
In addition to his litigation and trial experience, Ryan has extensive experience handling adoptions and related family law matters. He is deeply passionate about the adoption process and the life-changing impact it has on children and families. Ryan understands the legal, emotional, and practical importance of adoptions and is committed to guiding clients through the process with care, clarity, and compassion, helping families build secure and loving futures.
Ryan resides in Putnam County with his two sons, Beau and CJ, and remains active in the community through youth sports coaching, including serving as head coach of the 14U West Virginia Wild hockey team. He has also participated in international mission work in Uganda with Fields of Dreams Uganda, supporting educational initiatives and female empowerment programs.
